I usually like to update this blog when some new milestone has been met, and right now I feel like we're in the middle of several milestones but not quite there yet. That being said, I did receive a request for an update so here goes.
I promise before the end of this blog I will get a better picture of Andrew. I'm not sure what Andrew's exact title for the project is but suffice it to say without him none of this would be possible. He is the Architect, General Contractor, and I was surprised to find out he is also the casework installer!

It's looking like a kitchen again. The cabinets are beautiful. Painting, flooring, counter tops, sink, stove and dishwasher install still have to be done (not in that order)

Since Merrill really liked the look of the textured ceiling in the front room, or maybe it was just that he has always hated the acoustical "popcorn" ceiling, he decided to have the acoustical ceiling removed in the rest of the house. Best decision of all time...he hired a professional to do it!
The plastic draping from wall to wall was kind of eerie walking down the hall into the living room, and Jan and Merrill's bedroom. We decided it would be great for a spook alley at Halloween.

Lindsay's sneaking a peak at the work in progress.

Next up, the back step had to be enlarged because of the slider. The concrete steps are formed, the brick needs to be applied.

And finally, a sneak peak at the granite slab that will become the counter top in the kitchen.
